After my positive recent experiences with using Mercurial for some scripts, I’m thinking of writing a few posts about version control with Hg for systems administrators. I haven’t seen a lot of information about Mercurial written for that kind of audience. (I have so many small posting projects like this I want to do, sigh.)
I also wonder what it would be like to check a home directory into Hg, particularly on Mac OS X. I haven’t found any definitive answer as to whether it handles extended attributes (including ACLs and resource forks).
