I just set up my new Drupal-based site last week, sort of as a stop-gap emergency so I'd have something on-line. I will try to import my old pages into this site and redirect all the old URLs to their new locations. And Shawn has already commented that I need to end my use of a default theme. (Unfortunately, I'll have time to do that … er … never, at this rate.)
In the meantime, however, I'm redirecting the major URLs from my Manila site to a single page on the Drupal site. That "temporarily unavailable" page is serving as my combination "I'm moving" and "youve just encountered something of an error" alert. Since last Friday, I've gotten to 10,236 hits on the one page that's the recipient of all of those redirects. Wow!
I'm suuuuuure it's all from comment and referer [sic] spammers, because that's what drove traffic on my previous site.
